What changed in the design system and when.

2026-10-21

  • Added the Risk alert table pattern. It replaces the Data table with filters placeholder.
  • Checkbox can hide its label visually with hideLabel, for example in table rows.
  • Added Batch C: Tabs, Menu, Dialog with ConfirmDialog, Toast, Skeleton with LoadingArea, and EmptyState. All are Beta.
  • Component pages now use the Tabs component.
  • Added Batch B form components: TextField, Select, Combobox, Checkbox, Radio and Switch. All are Beta.
  • Added background.input.default and .hover, background.neutral.bold, and background.checked.default and .hover tokens.
  • The token table now uses TextField and Select for its search and filters.
  • States matrices are now pictures only: out of the Tab order and hidden from screen readers. Try components on the Code tab.

2026-10-20

  • Added Batch A components: Button, IconButton, Link, Badge, Tag and Tooltip. All are Beta. The docs now use them.
  • Added background.negative.hover and background.negative.pressed tokens for destructive buttons.
  • Added these docs: sidebar, search, density switch, foundations, token table and component pages.
  • Added the design tokens: color ramps generated from the brand accent, light and dark semantic colors, spacing, radius, type, motion and density.
  • Added the contrast check. Text needs 4.5:1, borders 3:1, in both themes. A failing pair stops the build.
  • Added the design system rules and a check that blocks raw hex colors outside the token files.
